Glasford22, You will need to do a bit of swapping to prove that your pc not at fault!! If 1711 does same when connected to different "known good" pc, then you may be dealing with "black screen of death" symptom. I'll bet you don't know the simple "flashlight test" that EVERY owner of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp, back-lit lcd monitor should know how to perform and interpret results of when confronted with a black screen. Have you been to YOUTUBE to view any video clips of owners /technicians that repair their units for less than $10? Just do some reading in my fixya profile and those of other tech's here on fixya ("budmrtn" "buddymc") .. You just might find solution to your BSOD problem. Good luck with repair. 12fixlouie
