Re-install the latest drivers. Make sure that the cartridge is seated well. For this, you could re-seat the cartridge. Make sure all settings are fine.If the problem still persists, this is a problem with print head.

If you are sure that the paper you are using is a correct media type, then Please clean the "Led Array" of the printer. The Led Array looks something like this;
and tMy printer prints too light. I've changed the - 28e4ddb.jpgrc="/uploads/images/28e4ddb.jpg" alt="28e4ddb.jpg" />

Honestly I haven't disassembled this model B4100 I've done a lot with others, but I hope there's not much difference with this model either. Actually it is inside the Drum and the toner cartridges, you'll see it after removing them. Just wipe it using a cotton or soft tissue paper and make sure nothing is stuck on it. You can refer to the picture below;
