I plugged in the receiver and put batteries in the controller. Both appear to be in working order, the lights come on when the controller is switched on. However the PS2 does not seem to recognize that they are there because the controller does not let me do any controlling. Am I missing a step in setting it up? I had to throw out the Manuel for the controller due to battery leakage during shipping.
