My Quickie Freestyle mini just started leaking huge globs of very thick lubrication from the front end of the place where the motor meets the left main wheel. Suggestions?

Hi. I have seen all sorts of material wrapped around the axles behind the wheels, long grass, string, rope, fabric. It gets picked up by the tread on the tryes, and gets wrapped around the axle as the machine drives along. This can wear or damage the seal in the side of the gearbox, where the shaft comes out.
Other times, if the machine has had a lot of use, the bearings can fail, and allow the shaft to move up and down, this movement will damage the seal.
Lift the machine on to blocks, remove the wheel, and check the condition of the bearings and seal. If it needs a new seal, and everything else looks OK, then try your local engineering supplies store. They might have the correct size seal for a cheaper price than a new gearbox.
You might have to add some more oil or grease, if too much has leaked out.
