My range rover p38 have a problem of late starting after running for sometime (getting hot). When it is still cold, I don't experience such a problem. The car does not overheat
I strongly suggest that the ignition and distributor coils be checked. If one of these coils gets hot it tends to worn and the result will surely be stalling. It will start up when cooled down but the break point is near so have it checked and replace before it catches you on a bad time.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
