Check ALL the switches to select inputs, speakers, AM-FM, ect,ect.....I purchased an Onkyo 5.1 Receiver Amp that retails for $500 to $600 for $9.00 at Good Will. Nothing worked when I applied power to it. So I checked all the switches. On was stuck in the down position. So I lifted it up and after powering it down and up it started to work. Can't beat the cost. Try this on your receiver. Apparently logics freeze up, like a switch will make it look like when you tried to power up. Good luck. David N
