My reverse osmosis system causes my Grunfos pump to cycle on and off for two hours aftr drawing a gallon of water from the reverse osmosis. Is there way to fix this so that the pump doesn-t cyle on an
The pump operates exactly as it is supposed to do. I would however like to fix the problem with it cycling on and off for the reverse osmosis. It seems when the reverse osmosis draws water, the pump scenses a drop in pressure and starts for several seconds. It then shuts off and about twenty or thirty seconds later it will repeat this. It is annoying more than anything. People have told me that installing a pressure tank on the outlet side of the pump, would alleviate this. I find this hard to believe. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

This is a fully integrated pump. All workings are internal, except for the air pressure adjustment for the tank.
OK .U SAY THIER IS A PRESSURE TANK AND IS THERE A VALVE STIM ON TOP.IT KINDA LOOKS LIKE A TIRE VALVE,U KNOW WHERE U WOULD PUT AIR INTO..WELL AT YOUR TANK.GRAB A PSI GAUGE(tire psi gauge).AND CHECK TO SEE HOW MUCH AIR U GOT(psi). BUT WHEN U CHECK IT. THE TANK HAS TO BE COMPLETELY DRAINED DOWN. THIER CAN'T ANY WATER OR PRESSURE IN THE TANK.
