My royal sp12mx will work in reverse but nothing happens when i insert paper to shred. light is on
Will not shred even 1 page. Won't feed and light is on. Will reverse with NO DOCUMENTS in it to reverse. I DO WANT ANSWERS!!!!

There is a very small lever between two cutters around the middle that activates a microswitch to turn it on when you offer paper to be cut
the problem will be in that area ( switch or lever broken) as it's purpose is to switch on the cutters
reverse is straight drive from the control switch
