My sewing machine, a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8200 QC keeps having an E7 error code. I can't find any error codes in the manual, but googled, and it seems like this error has to do with the thread cutter. BUT it doesn't happen when I'm using the thread cutter. When I sew a straight seam, about 6-8 inches down the line the needle jams, it makes an awful crunching sound and the E7 error code flashes. I have to shut it off and then on, then carefully cut the nest of mangled thread between the top and bobbin....sort of through the feed dogs. I've rethreaded, spun a brand new bobbin, changed my needle, cleaned it, used different threads...I'm clueless. I live 150 miles away from a repair person, so I'm hoping to get help here. Thanks!
1. Thin material needs backing. 2. Lower foot pressure. 3. Adjust top tension to four. 4. Adjust bobbin (lower) after top tension is adjusted. 5. Increase distance of stitch.
