I have used a product called Shoe Goo. It comes in a tube and sold at most home centers and places like CVS. You squeeze out the portion you want and it dries with a silicone texture (ie smooth). It is mainly good for either gluing pieces back on or repairing rubber soled shoes. Not good for leather sole ones.

You can get an insole replaced on it at a shoe repair shop. They sell different types of insoles to put on for you.

Is its not FS6 gas cushioned then its sometimes time to repair with rubber repair of BISON.
