My son had a liquid spill on his ds lite and the top screen went blank. Following troubleshooting advice, I dried out the battery etc and reassembled it. It has been working ok for 12 hours approx but now it has no screens and the green power light isn't showing although the orange charge light is indicated when charging
Unfortunatly it would seem that the spill had a delayed effect on one of the components. You could try opening up the unit and cleaning it out, boards, contacts, and all with some cotton swabs and 98-99% Isopropyl Alcohol.
But my feeling is that the board is faulty. You may be able to find a replacement board on eBay but the price might not be worth it. You may have to purchase a new DS which will have a new warranty.
remove the batterys check the battery terminals for a leakage Let the system dry for a few hours. Do not use any type of heat, such as a hair dryer, to speed up the process, as this may cause damage. If the system does not work properly after waiting for a few hours, then a repair is necessary. : Because liquids other than water can damage the internal components of the video game console Because this type of damage is not covered under Nintendo's warranty, there will be a charge for the repair. Please call 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available options.
This happened because residual of water, or consequential oxide on wiring or board contacts caused a short inside device. Try drying again, if it still does not work, one of the components has blown, you will probably need to replace the internal board. Check for oxide on connectors.

Check for oxide on connectors.
In your particular case, you get the following after liquid damage:
No LCD display.
Check LCD display ribbon cable connectors for oxide.
If water or humidity got inside LCD, this must be also replaced.
Power light not showing:
Possible main PCB faulty because of a short.
