My speaker made a very loud noise and stopped working. It might have been a reaction to mics under my acoustic to which it was pointed. The mics belong to a PR1 acoustic piano recorder which was in use at the time

Hi, you probably have a situation whereby speaker amplifier chip may leaky or damage. You need to change it.
