My stove keeps shutting off while baking.....i relight the pilot by pressing the red button underneath for a minute or two when lighting, then the stove re-lights but then after 10 minutes or more, it just shuts off again.....a PECO man said that our lines are fine and suggested that it may be the thermal couple (?) that needs replacing...the stove is about 30 years old and this is the first problem i ever had with it...oh, when the stove goes out, i can still use the burners, they are unaffected
Make sure the pilot light flame looks blue, if it looks yellow, removed and clean the pilot light assy. afterward if it is still the same, I'll change the thermocouple first ( $5-$20 bucks ), for a 30+years old stove, most cases is the oven safety valve is out ( $150-$400 bucks ). If you are planning to keep the stove for a while, I'll change both. Good luck.

Your thermal couple may need to be replaced, but I suspect it is the solenoid valve that opens the gas supply. We have a similar problem.
