My Swingline model 520e jams every other time I staple
I am constantly unplugging it and using the little key to move the gears and manually. After that, it double staples a few more things and jams again. This thing is on it's way out the window. Please help save the little swingline from this fate. :}

There were a few staples left in the cartridge when the stapler stopped working. I went thru all the steps on bottom for stapler after changing the cartridge with two different cartridges. It makes the noise and puts marks in the paper, but no staples come out of it.
One you know for sure their is no Staple jam in the "Stapler Head", the second place I would look is the staple cartridge. they want you to pullout a whole inch or staples and tear them off. If your not careful when tearing off that one inch section, you could possibly bend them out of their specification. those staples have to be dead flat going into the stapler head.
