I am running garageband on my macbook pro. It is sensing my US-122 interface and is available in my options to choose as my default input (and output). But when i plug in my microphone it is not picking up any signal? Should the lights come on to show it is receiving a signal? (because they dont - am assuming the green "sig" light should light up?)

I have tried every different combination and I just can't pick up a signal?

FYI i was able to record a vocal track on garageband using my in built mic?

WOuld appreciate any help you can give?
