My TI-84 has this strange, black, pencil shaving-looking growths underneath it's screen. It seems like they grow a little each day... I'm concerned that some fungus spores may have gotten trapped inside my calculator and may interfere with it's operation. They are growing on the center of the border surrounding the screen and are not affected by me blowing air in one of the ports, pressing on them, or turning the calculator on or off... What should I do? Open up the calculator and void my warrenty (if I have any left), or buy a new one?
If your sure its not the screen going bad or something, you may want to open it up and clean it. But if you think its fungus perhaps its time for a new calculator.
