My toilet is having a small leak from the cystern which meant the saniflo switched on, on its own, every 24 hours or so. I switched it off at the mains but had not realised about the leak so the toilet bowl filled up. I switched the saniflo back on and it is just making a loud noise now and not pumping. presumibly the unit filled up with water too when I turned it off. How can I get it working again

About leak, it may be that the washers are worn out, or you might have the nut too tight.
If the pump isn't working, the length or height of the installation is over the specification, or there are too many bends/elbows or the pump chamber is blocked. First try to check this and the right position and installation of the components (click over image)...
Additionally, I suggest check the troubleshooting section in the user manual: saniflo.co.uk/Downloads.

This is what i found to be the problem the plunger that is hooked to the handle has
sediments around the plunger and the plastic peace that the plunger seals to all of
this needs to be cleaned and you will find it wont come on by it self any more

if the pump comes on but doesnt pump water you have 1 of 2 problams
1 some thing is holding the impeller thus wont pump
2 the motor is seezed and time to get a new one.
