My touch hd has suddenly not responding to any
My touch hd isuddenly not responding to any commands from the screen, I therefore cannot accesss anything or answer any calls. I have tried both the soft and hard reset.

since you have done a hard reset already, the issue is hardware, the touch screen (Digitizer) on top of the LCD display is faulty and would need to be replaced.
In some cases you will need to replace the whole screen as the touchscreen can not be separated from the display.

In your case, the screen and the digitizer will either be part of the same connector, or possibly separate as on the linked page.
I can probably find a service manual for your phone to get a exact answer. But Most likely, you need to replace either the whole screen or then just the digitizer part of it.
A official replacement part and repair service will cost you 100-200. You can get a replacement screen and or digitizer from ebay for 5 to 40 $
Not really?! You simply can NOT repair such a screen, it needs to be replaced, and well, I wouldn't have spend the money on a new phone as repairing the old one yourself would have been much cheaper. Oh well, that is your problem.
