You cant. If your device was supported by windows 98, its a dinosaur. There would not be windows 7 drivers written for a device so old. If you can remove the hard drive from the case it is in and acquire an IDE to usb cable with a power pack to power up the drive you can read the drive that way, assuming the hard drive was formatted NTFS.
