My truck will start then slowly die but if i sit in it and keep it where it should idle for little bit it runs fine after that but it happens when my truck sits for a while and some times it just starts right up

Idle Air control motor may be going bad, Throttle position sensor maybe, TPS is the cheaper and easier to replace. both are located on the intake manifold. Look under your distributor cap for water or green corrosion on contacts, may just need a tune up.
