My tv will turn on with the remote but then just freezes on the netflix screen and the remote won't do anything else not even turn it off (and yes I've changed the batteries lol) I can use the nowtv box with it but nothing that's actually to do with the TV its self

Hi, you can try firmware update online or by usb if it isn't in the last version yet.
If this does not fix the problem, you get a eepron problem, so a tecnical espicialist will need to rewrite the tv memory eepron (becouse need a program, a device and the memory flash data).
The other solution is replace te main board (motherboard).
