My US Robotics USR8054 Wireless Modem stopped working
I have had it for 4 or 5 years and have had very litttle trouble. I have a wireless laptop and a desktop that I connect to the router via ethernet. This morning I could not get online with either. The wireless laptop said it has a very strong signal.
I did the usual shut everything down and start back up but it did not work. When I bypass the router with by desktop I get online fine. I'm thinking the router may be toast.
I'm running Vista Home Premium on the desktop and have had no software updates since Thursday. Everything was fine last night.
Any ideas?

DHCP may not be working on the router. What IP address does the router give your computers? It should be a 192.168.123.xxx address as default. If you are not getting an IP, then you will have to set a static IP in the range above to connect to the router setup webpage and reenable DHCP.
