My VGA signal is active but I have no DVI signal
HP w1907 Monitor. - My VGA signal is active but I have no DVI signal. Am I supposed to have BOTH signals working? The screen will stay on approx 5 mins then goes blank/black. It will not come back on for more than a sec unless I wait a few mins and try it again then it stays on 5 mins tops. Just before it goes out there's usually a small, slight flicker then it's off again. PLEASE advise. :(

You must just have one port to be active.
Let's say you want to use the VGA then it should only be the one plugged-in and vice versa
you can't have both ports to be connected at the same time.

Well with the monitor going off, Is the power cable of the monitor plugged-in to a power bar?
Try plugging it in directly to the wall outlet.
