My volume wont turn up or down with my tivo remote i have paired it a million times trying to get it to work but it wont had this problem befor and a tech guy came and pushed 2or 3 buttons and it started working does anyone know what those buttons are?

Could be something as simple as dust under the rocker buttons. Get some electronic switch cleaner, stay in, under & around the volume, let it evaporate & try again.
