My Vornado TouchStone Vortex heat 500 Heater - temperature
No matter which room, including an outside shed, my Vornado heater always shows 65 degrees as the starting temperature and does not heat up to the set temperature of 71 degrees. When it shuts off once the monitor says 71 degrees, the room thermometer and a second remote unit still state 61 degrees. what is wrong with this unit which is brand new?

After calling Vornado Corporation, they suggested that the room temperature monitor might be failing as it read 65 degrees no matter where you started the heater. I took the unit back to the store I purchased it from, and we unpacked another unit and found the same problem existed. Therefore, the product is not capable of heating a room properly and I will continue my search for a space heater to control the temperature in my upstairs office which does not have air ducts for heat.
If anyone has recommendations I would be interested in their comments.
