My Wahl 4000 shaver will not take a charge. If I push in on the cord or press on the shaver, the charging light willt come on. How do you open it up to check battery or plug connection

Hi, I hope I have the solution for you-Based on the online pictures I've seen I would think there may be some screws inside the shavers blade area. If so, then I would imagine it'll be a matter of after removing them gently prying at the seams to get unit to " pop " open. I wouldn't worry about the charger connection being the culprit however-as you say the razor indicates power. Some razor makers still use Ni-Cad's which have a notoriously short lifespan. If that is the case with your Wahl I'd recommend upgrading to Ni-Mh to prolong lifespan. I hope this was useful, write back to let me know please-even if not so I may be of further assistance if necessary. Thanks for asking FixYa and good kuck, Prodzilla
