My wall heater is a williams gas wall heater and I just had a question is the pilot always suspose to be lit the main is not lit but when it is off there Is still a flame that's on Ithink its the pilot is it always suspose to be lit?

All gas appliances have a constant on pilot light.This keeps you from having to light it everytime it goes on. The pilot flame is small, and usually mostly blue in color. If there is any yellow or orange color in the flame then the jet is dirty, which can cause a malfunction ( just thinking this could be handy to know!).
