My washer fails to drain only on the spin cycle, for the color, white, etc. selections. This is an intermittent problem
The washer failed to drain. Upon inspection. the pulley on the motor was destroyed, the belt was in very bad shape, and the pump was both nosey and the vanes were cued up. I had to replace both the motor, no pulley available locally, the belt, and the pump. Now, the washer will not drain on any spin cycle. I replaced the timer and the problem remains. I believe the problem is in the motor's high spin reverse cycle since it does drain on other cycles. This leads me to conclude that the problem is (a)in the wiring (b)in the motor, (c) the grounding. I mention grounding since,in top control panel, I find a green ground wire with no connection. One end is screwed to the body and the other end has a clip on it. All the clips I have seen on the machine use the direct plug in. That is you just push the clip in directly. This clip is different. It connects by pushing it in sideways. I have examined the timer but there in only one plug for multiple wires. I examined the circuit board behind the timer and there are no connectors not accounted for. I can't locate any other connectors that do not have wires plugged into them.
