My webcam is not working and the drivers doesn't help. It only says that I don't have any video capture hardware but it's a built in webcam. I've never dropped it or something like that. I really want to avoid sending it to service because they usually take a week to hand i back. Please help, thank you very much

That is because you dont know that it takes a group of HP drivers to make that work, NO JUST ONE. why post lacking what OS is there, most have 11 choices then. windows 7 64bit or what? the bits matter too.
my HP Elitebook must have a working USB2 chip(and ports) if not the camera is dead, due it using USB2 to comm. and the camera has 2 makers, and must match. here is the magic tool from hp, smart agent http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-self-support.html
the full PC support is here, ever heard of HP. lets go to HP real now, the REAL DEAL. this PC had 6 OS choices new. XP, Vista, w7 32/64bit so if you look and pic the right OS, there you get the right drivers. (hint, leave BIOS alone)
or boot and hammer F11 and go back to day one. your PC was probably slammed,' someone use Non HP disks to restore the OS. and now F11 dead forever and the special HP drivers are missing or WRONG. http://www.pcdied.com/slammed.html
slammed means the PC is not 100% authentic, anymore. #1 way to do that is installing a new HDD , wrong. #2 using Microsoft disks, (not HP)
