My Whirlpool Dishwasher is just over 2 years old. It has been used approximately once a week during this time until last September when this problem began. It had another problem just a few months earlier when the soap dispenser wouldn't open and empty properly. The serviceman found a little ***** plug in - inside the door that had come lose. NOW the cleaning light stays on all the time. Nothing else works. How can I reset it? Turning the power off for any amount of time does NOT help anything. Pressing the cancel button makes no difference.
