My wife's LG 8550 got wet and now won't power on
My wife's phone was submerged in water. The next day we tried putting it in a bag of rice. It stayed in the rice for a couple days. When I pulled it out I charged the battery overnight. The cellphone has not worked since it came out of the water. Now the red lights on the face blink every 7 seconds. Any ideas?????

Usually you remove back and take out card, gently dont force any parts try drying with hair dryer on low heat for 10 - 15 minutes then let air dry for at least 5 days , sometimes this will work but charging may have damaged the unit ,you may have to contact the manufacturer, good luck
If the phone was still on while it got submerged, then you may be out of luck. Had it been off when it was submerged, using the rice trick might have worked. I would try removing the battery, and drying it out some more, but the damage may have already been done. Sorry!
