My woods digital timer is acting weird. I take the timer off the outlet and set the timer like normal. The display is doing everything I want it too at this point. But then, as soon as I plug it into the wall. Everything on the display turns on. The time shows 88:88 all features are lit up. The timer doesn't work at this point. It just lets power through. Any ideas? Or is it broken?
Copy following link to identify timer and see Woods (Coleman) warranty support link http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html Buy another timer. Reset timer using reset button. Check if timer has batteries. Older timers had batteries. Newer timers have internal rechargeable batteries. Try on different outlet. Check outlet polarity using circuit analyzer. Timers are made to last 1-3 years, some more some less.
