I received this unit with a broken NERO installation disk, which you asked me to replace with a download, but downloads were only for upgrades, and since I didn't have anything installed, I had to purchase a new program. The power is often recieved from the usb cable but not always. what does the power connector end look like ?
as for nero. there are freeware programs for burning disks that you can download to at least test the device.
