Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Unplug both sides of the crimp connector and cable, if possible, and place the connector ends of the cables in an open location. Now clip the wires just behind the crimp connectors using standard wire clippers. Make a smooth and straight cut to make installing the new connector easier. Strip the insulation off the top of the wires about 3/4 inch back from where you just clipped them, using a sharp knife. To do this, simply slice a groove all the way around the wire insulation and then slide the insulation off. Twist the open wires on the cables to make them more solid. Then, slide them into the corresponding sides of each piece of a new crimp connector. Pinch the grooved section of the crimp connector parts until they are securely bent and pinched on the open, twisted wiring. Don't be afraid to pinch the connectors hard as coaxial wire is very tough and hard to break, especially when twisted. Plug both ends of the cable back in and reconnect both sides of the crimp connector. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
I must not have explained my problem clealy enough. The broken component is the male connection point on the TV. This component is physically attached to the circuit board. Will I need to replace the board or can someone replace this component on the board?I must not have explained my problem clealy enough. The broken component is the male connection point on the TV. The board should be replaced completely to avoid any future issues.
