NAD C370 Amplifier
When I switch the amp on it makes a loud buzzing sound that comes from within the amp itself and also comes though the speakers. It gradually fades away over a couple of minutes. What could be causing this? I have checked all my connections and everything seems fine.

This sounds like a problem with the protection circuit, and/or the speaker relays. More specifically, a capacitor within those circuits that is not behaving properly. I strongly suggest having it looked at ASAP.
