Natural to LP conversion Cozy CF503C
I would like to know how to convert my Cozy CF503C Wall Furnace from Natural to LP. I was going to change the orfice in the gas valve, but then saw a sticker on the valve that reads do not convert. So what do I need to do to safely convert heater into propane.

original equipment manufacturer. If they tell you not to convert it,
dont.

There usually is a metering device in gas valves for accepting natural gas and propane. You need to find out if yours has that ability or just purchase a new one which is inexpensive and probably the right way to go and install the new valve. That is the only adjustment needed
If they don't offer a conversion kit it's game over! It cannot be legally converted. If you go ahead and alter the appliance and somebody is hurt or property is damaged by it, you will be liable, and insurance companies will not cover you for losses.
You will need to contact the manufacturer to find out two things...Is it convertable, and what parts etc. are needed to do that. If they will provide both of these things, you are away to the races! Install the conversion kit and new rating plate, and you are done.
By the way...Most manufacturers supply the units from the factory set up for NG and provide propane conversion kits. There are very few appliances that can not be converted from propane back to NG. There ARE a few, but not very many!
Change out the gas flow orifice size to propane.
Purchase a new one which is inexpensive and probably the right way to go and install the new valve. That is the only adjustment needed.

If it says do not convert i would strongly advise that you don't as a safefty issue. gas leaks can be very disastrous.

You need to find a brand that does allow for the conversion....As you probably noticed the orifice is removable on your model.. The reason for the sticker stating not to convert is because of the liability issues that the mfr. doesnt want responsibilty for....The safest way is to call the gas co. Even if you have to tell a little white lie that you suspect it might have leak...They will come out for free ..At this point befriend the gas man and pick his brain for the answers you need....I myself have converted my LP barbque to natural and it also had the same sticker.... So it is possible...Good Luck

You need to replace the gas valves for ones that accept propane, and also to replace the meter.
The job is quite complicate, I can do repair many appliances, but I would need to call a technician to do a conversion, there are also many safety issues involved.
