Navman S90i. My car charger has a wiring break fault. I have replaced it with 2 ( non-navman) in car chargers. When plugged in to the charger the screen display reverts to show a break with the gps signal which cannot be corrected unless I unplug the charger. The satnav works without the charger plugged in and is running only on the battery. P.S. battery does not seem to hold charge for long. Satnav was latetest edition when bought

Ok well it sounds like the exact voltage is not matching between the non-navman charger and the Navman device itself. This is pretty common actually with third party chargers and can cause many problems with the device, including actually damaging the internal power components of the navigator. You are going to want to get a Navman charger and I am sure the problems will go away.
