NComputing connected to existing Lan network
We have an internal LAN Network around the University Campus and need to replace some PCs for NComputing L230 Terminals. Can I just plug it using the existing Lan cables and the L230 will look for the PC Host Server?

If your existing LAN has DHCP assigned IP addresses, you will be good to go. If you have statically assigned IP addresses, you will need to enter them in manually into the device. Their website has a very good instructional video on the procedures to hook up the devices. It will work with standard cat5,cat5E, or cat6 wiring.
The easiest way would be to check one of the existing pc's to see if it is obtaining its IP address via DHCP. If it is, then your LAN is giving out IP addresses. This is usually the case, as this makes IT management of your LAN much easier for your IT dept. If it is static, you will need to get a list of useable IP addresses from your IT dept. I would assume you could use the ones from the PC's you are replacing if they are not be recycled for use elsewhere in your network.
And how we make those choices?
