Necchi Lydia 3 544 Bobbin mechanism will not fully disengage to allow a return to sewing
When you wind a bobbin the machine will not sew automatically the mechanism for this has a tendency to not release after bobbin is wound thus preventing sewing. what can I do, how do I get it to return to sewing? I have access to mechanism but need to know how to proceed.

Under the lid you will find the bobbin winding stem and the mechanism that is meant to "flick" home when the bobbin is full. This mechanism may be sticking. It may need a small amount of lubrication.
It may need tweaking with small pliers to make it work as the bobbin stem often gets knocked off line when moving the machine and this stops the mechanism from working smoothly.
