I need to find a generic code so I can set up my printer to my new laptop I had never used the wireless printer before. So when I called up Dell foe help I was told that they couldn't help me...Not happy at all ...

Not sure what code you are talking about. You need to use a cable and the install disk to set this up. Then you are prompted to switch to wireless.
