need to change the filter
Hi,
I have a Sub Zero 680 refrigerator. The water and ice tastes weird andmy guess is that you need to change the filter, but the problem is,where is the filter and how can I change it?
Also the Service text is flashing on the LCD panel, what does that mean?

The service flashing means that you had a long run time over a period of time. You can reset it by turning the unit on and off or if you have a door alarm button hold that for 30 seconds and that will clear the fault code. If it comes back you have a problem that needs to be addressed such as cleaining the condensor. There is no factory filter on these units. If there is a filter it is most likely under the unit, which can be accessed by removing the kick. THe kick plate is held in place by two phillips head screws, remove them and have a look. If it was done by a "professional" they should have put an inline shut off valve for easy replacement of the filter.
