You must put your car kit in pairing mode prior to pairing it with your phone. If it has never been paired to another device before, just by turning it on (i.e. pressing and releasing the microphone shaft), it will enter the pairing mode, denoted by the indicator light flashing alternately in red and blue, right away. In case it has been paired before, or, rather, it refuses to enter that mode automatically, you must force it into that mode, by pressing and hold the accept button whist turning it on. Anyway, once in pairing mode, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your car kit should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey, or passcode) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). By the way, detailed instructions on how to pair it with your phone (illustrated with pictures) can be found on its user guide; In case yours happens to be missing, you'll still be able to find it here.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out soon. Please, let me know if I can help you any further. Regards, Carlos
