Need to replace gear on saw
My gear wore out on the wild thing chain saw and I got a replacement and was going to replace it but can't get the nut off. Can't seem to get the motor held to turn the nut. I know there must be a trick or its got to be easy but this stumps me. Thanks Dan

An impact is used to remove the nut a a very high rate of psi. there should be an Allen hex head in the shaft to lock the crankshaft in place when removing the nut. I know some do not have this option on smaller Poulan's so the impact will be needed if no provision for a hex head allen wrench is there for you
