New filter causing eye irritation?
Hi, I recently replaced my Aprilaire filter (oct 1) including the new part to hold the filter in place. About the same time,my wife started having problems with dry, itchy eyes and general eye irritation. We've tried everything else to troubleshoot the problem (put curtains in dryer to remove dust, etc.) but it seems like it could be a reaction to the new type of filter or filter material. Have any other people inquired about this? thanks

There were some problems where people used glas-fiber-islations as a filter (it could be yellow or white), the problem generated because air filters and isolations camed in more or less same packageing (people didn't know, or couldn't know the diference) if u rub the new filter and it starts hurting or burning finger's you have isolation, if not there could be a problem with chemicals that where in filter fiber's, you can leave it on sun for a few hour's and bring it back in
