Hi, Your tv will have nothing to do with your rewrite options. You may want to try a different dvd and make sure it is a rewrite-able disc. Thank you, Lee
Here is your user manual below. http://www.retrevo.com/support/SpectronIQ-PD-DVR100-DVD-Players-manual/id/926dj289/t/2/ "New Panasonic tv does not give me a rewrite option" (sic) Excuse me, but, I do not really understand exactly what you mean by "Rewrite Option" As usually unless the TV has/had a built in Recording device, IE: HDD or memory, then this feature is usually only available form the Recording unit, not, the TV itself? I presume you mean that you "Burn" one DVD, and you wish to "Burn" another, and your OLD unit, would enable you to copy, from more than once. But now you cannot. If this is so, then what I related above is true. It's the recorder that has this "Feature". As a work around, you could simply, after burning the DVD, use a PC, copy it to a PC's HDD, and then Burn. multiple DVD's from that saved "Image". That way you get an "Archive" of your work, and save the DVD from over burning.
Review the DVDs you are using with your Protron DVR100. This model will only erase and rewrite certain kinds of discs, DVD+RW only. Is it possible that when your new TV was installed you may have switched the format or brand of discs you are using as well? Otherwise, the only reason the DVR-100 would not overwrite a DVD+RW disk is if the disc has been locked in the Disc Edit menu.
I hope that helps. ________________________________________ Protron DVR100 Manual Download
