New ram problem
Good morning!
i recently got a new 512 mb ram module (high) to add with my 128 mb on qdi advance 10b.
as far as i knew it could work with this mb but i get errors.
when i put the new in the second dimm, the pc boots normally and accepts the total of 640 mbs but the loading of win2000 crushes with the blue screen.
when i put only the new module in the first dimm, it doesn't even boot.
i hope it can be solved with some configurations or even reinstalling of windows..

Try to pull out the old 128MB and let the new 512MB memory, to knew that your windows 2000 working properly.. if the 512MB function then its ok... dont put back again the old one... Maybe that 128MB is not compatible with the new 512MB, is 512MB PC400 or not? and also let your windows restore back to its system working properly and your VGA Card reinstall it again.... hope this might help you, good luck!
