I have had my Wii U since launch and I have always had trouble when it comes to connecting to the internet. I was finally able to update my Wii U a few days ago. Now i want to purchase games off the eshop, but when i try to login to my Nintendo Network ID(which I made on my 3ds) it tells me I need to update. So I try to update(moved my Wii U into the room with the router and made sure there was no interference) and it gives me the error code: 105-4256. I look up the code on nintendo's support website and it gives me a solution. Guess what, the solution they give is to login to your Nintendo Network ID! I can't log in until I update. I can't update until I login. I would call Nintendo tech support, but I always get someone that either I can't understand or they can't understand me.
