No audio sound and decreased hard drive storage
Hello My everex c7 laptop computer. I downloaded windows xp student and home pack2. Now i have no sound from my media player or dvd. it recognizes and reads cd's and dvd's but no sound also my hard drive is not the 60 gb it suppose to be. So can you help me please??????? Thanks jojo4u

First check that your sound isn't muted or turned down way low in windows. Do this by clicking on the start button, then clicking RUN and typing 'mmsys.cpl' without the quotes to bring up your sound & audio properties. If there is a check next to mute click the check to remove it. Next click on the Audio tab along the top. Now under sound playback click the volume button to bring up the Volume control. Again make sure nothing is muted. Now the left slider is your main volume control so if thats really low pull the slider up a bit. I would put everything up on high and adjust down from there.
If theres still no sound then the next step would be to reinstall the sound drivers. You didn't post your exact model but you can find the drivers yourself on here http://www.everex.com/support/support.htm If you have any more questions just post and i'll get back to you.
