To solve this issue what u can try is remove the ink cartridges from the printer. Unplugg and replugg the power cable. Clean the copper contacts of the carts using a dry paper towell. Snap the cart back to the printer and install the cart as the new cart. Print the alignment page. Also uninstall and reinstall the driver using the original CD, sometimes Windows can change to an "updated" driver with Windows update. It may have installed a B&W driver.
If all this fails it might be the issue with the encoder strip. Call Lex Tech Support and get help to fix the encoder strip.
