No connection to ebay. server not found
I have been having trouble with ebay since november. i paid to get the laptop all cleaned up. there was some malware on here but it is all clean now but still can not get ebay and i really rely on ebay as i am disabled and use it for buying gifts. i am hoping someone will be able to help me as i am no good at dealing with issues to do with the laptop

It could be a DNS server error, try copying this 66.211.160.88 and then put it in the URL. If it works then you need to check some incorrect hosts files in your laptop.
how to check for hosts files:
Go to Search on your laptop. Set it to look in your hard drive and search for a file called Hosts . Note that there is no extension on that file. If the results show up with some files that have *.sam extension...those are not the right files.
Assuming you found the Hosts file on your computer, right click on it and go to Open With and select notepad.
If I were you I would just clear the entire thing and save it....or you can scan through it to see if there is an entry for Ebay and delete that line and then save it.
or try to check your anti virus, a setting could be disallowing your computer to access ebay.
and check if your computer accepts cookies and the security should be in medium instead of high.
